PROJECT 5 FINAL
PROJECT 5 FINAL
The model was split into four parts so that it can be 3D printed. Printing is currently in progress.
FINAL
After realising that printing the above geometry would not be feasible I redesigned my geometry.
First part of script base:
Second part of the script, creating a metaball:
The metaball represents the reproduction of bacteria as it splits, and the base represents the bacteria as individuals.

PROJECT 4 FINAL
Physical model still to come.
After attempting to lasercut this shape, the geometry was changed. Unfortunately when I lasercut I set the material thickness to 1mm instead of 2mm so the geometry will have to be recut.

FINAL:
After lasercutting the above model it became abundantly evident that the script was flawed and the joints were not working properly. Instead I chose to panel a sphere and due to height restrictions decided to only physically model half, creating a dome like structure.

PROJECT 4 PROGRESS
My project consists of four parts. A base and 3 gears which slide onto the base. As one gear turns the other two also turn.
PROJECT 3 FINAL
These are the Rhino images of project 3. I was finally able to make the extrusions work and the script was finally a success.
Below is the grasshopper script for the project:
